After Daphne Elliot loses her fiance to a fire at the lumberyard where he worked, she devotes her life to the nursery business her father started, treating the plants like children. Since almost losing the business to a sweet-talking grifter a few years back, Daphne has resigned herself to remaining an old maid. When Jack McNary walks into her garden, everything she ever thought about love, romance, and her old love Henry are about to change forever...
This is a sweet romance, and has some younger people in it for those who just have to have somebody young in a romance. To me, the characters in the Love Inspired romances are developed better, but I enjoyed this anyway, despite wanting to talk sense to Daphne a few times.
