The Angel by Carla Neggers

Keira is interested in an old Irish legend about three brothers and a statue of an angel.  She illustrates books with legends and paints.  She is about to leave for Ireland when she finds a dead man, but that is just the beginning of her adventures.  When she gets to Ireland, she is trapped in a ruined cottage, Simon, a friend of her uncle’s comes to rescue her just as she is about to escape.  The intrigue continues from there.
