Angels Fall by Nora Roberts (Jove - 2006)

Reece stops in Angel's Fist, Wyoming for a short period of time. She is winning her battle against the internal demons, and needs to work for a bit before fleeing again. Brody has settled in nicely, and is captivated by Reece's presence. In fact, all the town folk seem to be talking about her. When Reece witnesses a murder, no one seems to believe the new girl in town except for Brody, and is it within his power to help her?

Once again, Roberts has changed locations and plots brilliantly. She has created a great cast of characters, and an interesting small town. I could visualize her descriptions so well that it was almost like watching a movie. Reece is an incredibly strong and determined character, and I admire her ongoing battle to conquer her tragic past. She is lonely, moody, sassy, emotional, spunky, caring, quirky, and except for her tendency to forget to eat (really, who does that?), she is a real woman. I love the way Brody deals with Reece. He is a fantastic match for her, and they are amazing for one another. The mystery throughout the story was good, yet I was not surprised by the revelation at the end. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed this book, even if the ending was predictable.
