Anything for you by Sarah Mayberry (Blaze) ebook

I loved this book. It was excellent. The best friends to lovers theme is one of my favorites. Delaney has been in love with her best friend and business partner, Sam, since she was a teenager. After a visit to her sisters, where she sees what she is missing by not having a family of her own, she decides that she has to remove Sam from her life. . . completely, if she is ever going to fall for someone and have a family. She comes back and announces to Sam that she wants to sell her half of the business.

Sam is devastated and can't understand what is going on with Delaney. Then when she announces that she is also moving out of the building where they both live, he is even more confused. Sam becomes desparate to keep Delaney in his life and soon things become hot and passionate between them. Delaney figures that, although Sam loves her as a friend and now as a lover, he will never love her like she needs him to. She is strong in her determination to make a break with him in order to get on with her life.

I think this is my favorite friends to lovers romance that I have read. It made me smile and cry. Janet recommended this one so I looked in the eHarl bookstore but this one was released in 2006 so it was not available. I was itching to read it so I checked the ebook section and was happy to see it there.

The problem is that I had to read it on my desktop computer because I don't have one of those handy dandy ebook readers. If I could, I would say that I couldn't put this one down. I started reading it late at night and I just wanted to see the happy ending so bad that I stayed up until 2:00 a.m. to finish it. My bum was very sore from sitting at my desk all night!

I adored Sam, even if he was clueless as to his true feelings for Delaney. He was very sweet and did all he could to get Delaney to change her mind about leaving. I really understood Delaney's decision to move on in order to find a man she could love and have a family with. I have to find this book in print because it is a keeper and I know I will want to pull it out to read in the not too distant future.

Ooooh!  I'm so glad you

Ooooh!  I'm so glad you read this one, I loved it, it was a total keeper for me.  Perfect story, perfect love, perfect steam!  Glad you enjoyed it, too bad you couldn't get your hands on a paper copy, no luck on ebay/amazon?

Hi Janet

Thank you for telling me about this one!!! I Loved it!!!

I looked on eBay but no luck. Then I looked on Amazon and they only have used copies. I have never ordered from anyone on Amazon's used section. It has been forever since I ordered on eBay and I don't remember how to use PayPal!

I'm a bit nervous about using the Amazon one but I will if I can't find it any other way. I am going to look at Barns and Noble and Wal Mart. There is also New and Used books where I have ordered in the past so I will have to check them out.

I have to have this one!
Margie :)

Paypal's pretty easy to

Paypal's pretty easy to use, if you visit the official website you'll probably get used to it pretty quickly registering again or reactivating an old account.  I've used it and it takes money off my credit card.  It's convenient that you can buy things from US sellers and Canadian ones too, with easy currency exchange.  (automatic)

I haven't bought used books of amazon myself...  I've bought LARGE lots of books off eBay and Kijiji myself.  :)

I used eBay years ago when I

I used eBay years ago when I first discovered Nora Roberts and I wanted to read all her Silhouettes. This was before they were all reissued. So it has been a long time. I'm hoping to find this book an easier way but I just might have to to check out PayPals site again. I've never heard of kijiji (?)

Margie :)

www.kijiji.ca ...  it's

www.kijiji.ca ...  it's for local buy/selling.  It's possible it's just a Canadian thing.  It's similar to Craigslist, which is in Canada and the US.

You buy/sell from people in nearby towns....  and you pickup (instead of mailing) for the most part.  I enjoy grabbing things off kijiji because it saves you the SHIPPING cost

Hi Janet

I emailed Sarah Mayberry to let her know that I enjoyed her book. Hey, she emailed me back! She said that she has another friends to lovers romance coming out called Amorous Liaison. This one has the man being in love with his best friend for years and the woman being the blind one. Sounds good.

Margie :)

Exciting!  That's very

Exciting!  That's very cool!  I'll keep an eye out for it.

You know...  I've never emailed an author direct feedback.  I've only posted my reviews here for this challenge, and that's my first experience of giving "feedback" i guess.  I don't think many authors have read my opinions of them, but I think Kate Walker and Lori Borrill have and maybe an HP author or two if they went looking through the reviews.  LOL.

I've read a few books that made me think "someone send this author a medal!  That book was damn good" ...  and in those cases I feel like emailing the author!  *grin*

I don't know if author feedback is something I would regularly give directly to the author.  I'm kind of a critical person naturally.  In a good or even awesome book I can still find things that irk me.  Things I would have preferred to see done differently.  And I just think, poor author!  They can't do anything perfect in my eyes.  *sheepish*

(I've done editing of people's essays before... and it's funny.  If I don't watch myself I end up totally rephrasing things unnecessarily!)

Best friends to lovers is

Best friends to lovers is one of my favorite themes, and now I want this book as well! Laughing

Very catchy review Margie!

Hi Kathy

Oh, I hope you find this one. I think you will love it. It is very sweet and emotional but sexy at the same time. These characters felt very real to me. I actually got my Pay Pal going and I am going to order this used real soon.

Hee!  Mmmm, saw this title

Hee!  Mmmm, saw this title was being talked about again, GOOD!  Loved this book.

Glad paypal is working for you once again Margie, it's convenient to have.

Hey...  I'm in a mood for a LIGHT SD or HP read with little angst...  got any recommendations for me Margie?  :(  I'm starting to find too many HPs in my TBR pile with long separations and infidelity plot lines and I could use a HAPPY read.

Hi Margie, You'll never

Hi Margie, You'll never guess what i just did. I found a really great deal for this book, so i just ordered it. I wasn't kidding when i said your review made me "want" this book, which is "really" one of my "favorite" themes.  LOL Now soon i'll have it. Oh i'm bad. Innocent Laughing

Hi Kathy, I'm glad you

Hi Kathy, I'm glad you found it. You will not be disappointed. This is such a great book. I will be getting mine soon too. I just have not had time to shop but I've seen it so I know it is available.

Hi Janet, Right now I am drawing a blank on books. Hum? Do you like Jayne Ann Krentz. I like to pull out her old Desires when I'm in a slump. I love the connection between her h/H. Oh, right now I thought of a really sweet Desire that I read. . . will look for it. . . The Secretary's Secret by Michelle Celmer. It is from Jan 07. I know that the hero doesn't sound too appealing when you read the first paragraph. He has just slept with the heroine, his office manager, when it should be his wedding night with someone else. The first chapter is when they wake up together. Things get hot and passonate between them and she falls pregnant. I loved the book. And the Epilogue is so sweet. I love epilogues. I have this one in my keepers.

HP's I love Lucy Monroe because her heros always stay true to the heroines even when apart.

Margie :)

Oh, I just read a Desire

Oh, I just read a Desire that I really enjoyed. It is Forgotten Marriage by Paula Roe. She is new to me but I'm going to keep an eye out for her books now. They are separated for about 2 months so it is not bad. He comes looking for her but he has amnesia. He knows who he is and all but he has forgotten his brief marriage to the heroine. I loved how he was appalled at the man he used to be.

Margie :)

Thanks Margie.  I'll go

Thanks Margie.  I'll go look around for those books you recommended.

Good thing though: a whole bunch of the Sherrilyn Kenyon books arrived for me at the library today, so I can start in on those and see if I keep myself entertained.  *wink*
