Barefoot Bride

Alice has always strived to have a stable life, job, home, which she never had growing up. Her parents were hippy scientists.  That's why she left Will Paxman, the love of her life, but also transient scientist who goes wherever the job wind will blow him.

So when she's visiting some friends, between jobs and boyfriends, on Tropical island St. Bonaventure  and Will shows up, Alice is thrown for a loop. IT's been 8 years since he proposed and she rejected him for the second time. And then to have a six year old daughter in tow. How dare he!

They rekindle their relationship, against their better judgement. And then Alice is offered her dream job in London. Will she stay or will she put her need for stablity above her love for Will?

It was a sweet book. Nothing real exciting. There's a minor B-plot alluding to a love unrequited between freinds. Maybe.
