Favourite Scene: (I love how she claims him, and he accepts it happily and with calm certainty)
"You're mine," she told him fiercely. And then she moved her hips with strong, deliberate thrusts, daring him to argue....
"You're mine, Shahin... Mine," she gasped, clinging to his arms as he pleasured her.
He didn't doubt it. She was a lioness, a queen, and the only mother he could ever want for his children.
My Review:
She was orphaned when she was seven years old, and the hero was partly responsible for the oil explosion that killed her parents. The hero has been named her ward after the recent death of his father, her former ward-from-a-far, and the hero wants to find her and make sure she's ok. Surprisingly, they've already run into each other in the desert! He almost seduced her, but he held back because he realized she was a virgin. Now knowing that she's his ward and his responsibility, he has even more reason to hold back, but he finds he can't, almost as soon as he sees her again he kisses her. They have a great passion together, it's pretty steamy. The fact that the H/h had death and tragedy between them was a bit of a downer for a romance, but hey, at least infidelity wasn't an issue! (that's a major peeve of mine) The heroine was a tad too young though emotionally she was very very mature because of life experience... she was 20, the hero 32. I prefer the heroines to be a tad bit further away from their teens, 23-29 seems like a good age for HPs to me.
