Blue Eyed Devil is being billed as a sequel to Sugar Daddy, but it really is a good stand alone.
When I sat down to read I was more than a bit hesitant because I simple didn't enjoy Sugar Daddy as much as everyone else seems to, so I was prepared to again be let down. Instead I couldn't put this story down.
Haven Travis is a pretty independent thinker, and even though she's not only the youngest, but also the only daughter of the wealthy Travis family she really doesn't expect to be treated as an heiress with everyone bending to her will. She's scrappy and willing to buck what her family feels is best for her if it's what she truly wants.
When she marries Nick Tanner against her father's wishes she finds herself cut off, and the young couple is having to make it on their own. At first life appears to be idillyc, but as a majority of us know; looks can often be deceiving.
When Haven should be returning home with her tail between her legs, she doesn't. She comes home determined to regain her inner strength and to make it on her own. She doesn't want the Travis name paving her way.
Of course, she has a new hero...Hardy Cates. At the end of Sugar Daddy he was the character we loved to hate. In Blue Eyed Devil he gets a chance to redeem himself as he finds himself in the unusual position of being attracted to Haven. Whether or not he can actually redeem himself in the Travis family eyes will remain to be seen.
I wish I could tell you why I so enjoyed this book, but I'm afraid that would be a spoiler, and I won't do that. Let's suffice it to say that I just couldn't put it down. Every moment I had I was reading, and finished it within 24 hours of starting. Now I'm hoping that the rest of the Travis family will be getting stories, but I couldn't unearth anything. Does anyone know?

Question??
Sandi ~ I'm confused. Some of my reviews have wording on the main page and others do not. I don't know that I"m doing anything differently in my reviews, any ideas?

I think that you need to use a pretty short paragraph for the first one. Maybe like the old teasers? I have started doing that, and it seems to be working for me.
