Book 144 - two novellas to equal one full length book
Beyond Dreams, Hill and Sky
Both stories are from teh same book but i had absolutely no interest in the third story, especially after reading it's first chapter. but the two I DID read are enough to make a full length book so I'm counting them!
Beyond Magic: Beyond Dreams by Elaine Cunningham = 110 pages
I liked this one - serial killers, magical families, mediums, psychics, and mind readers, top secret government agencies for exploring parapsyhology all add up to eual my kind of story.
Beyond Magic: Hill and Sky by Kassandra Sims = 88 pages
This was just "eh." The author has this thing where she kept breaking out into folk story type segments that were intended to add depth to the story I'm sure but all they did for me was break me out of the story that was unwinding on the pages. Then there are some strange jumps in events that threw me and we never DO find out what type of supernatural being seveal of teh characters are and that bothered me. or if we were told what they were, that was lost to me with all the folk story breakouts. I don't know as I liked this short enough to try a ful length by this author.
TOTAL PAGES: 198
Since a typical Silhouette Desire is 180-190 pages, I consider this enough to equal one book.
