Sara moved to Nevada from her small town in Wisconsin hoping to find a the job to launch her career.  It's taken her longer to get her degree, as she's had to work full time while caring for her dying mother.  Ridden with hospital and school debts, Sara needs the job she's been hired for as Elan Al Mansur's Executive Assistant.   Elan doesn't want Sara, she's too young, too pretty and sure to fall in love with him as his previous assistants had.  But Sara won't be denied the job she has earned, and she stands up to Elan and practically dares him into allowing her to keep her job.  When she'd made her stand, Sara hadn't bargained for a sexual chemistry that practically charged the air with electricity.   And of course, after a tiring trip to the oil fields, Elan and Sara's guards are both down and they succumb to their desires.  What's to become of Sara now?  And what about the child they've conceived?

There is a tremendous amount of sexual inneundo between Elan and Sara, and in honesty, I thought at one point in the story it was becomming a tad much.  But then the plot changed with Sara's pregnancy and how Elan steps up to take care of her.  Ms. Lewis has created well developed characters with depth and emotions that ring true.  I'm very much looking forward to read more of her love stories!
