This is one of the new Blaze Historicals. Brianna MacLeod first met Ewan Fraiser as children at a fair in fifteenth century Scotland. They swore a blood oath to marry in seven years' time. Now it's ten years later and Brianna is laird of the MacLeod clan, and a widow. She decides to kidnap Ewan and hold him as her sex slave until she gets with child. Ewan isn't thrilled at this idea; he waited for Brianna but she didn't wait for him and now she wants him only to get with child. However, what began as a childish promise is now blooming into something more serious.
As I said in Cafe Sociale, this book contains pretty graphic sex scenes, more than I care to read; I've read other Blaze books that were pretty tame by comparison. However, the plot and characters are engaging and I hope this new line becomes successful. I give this book a B.
