Description & Critique:

Kara was the wedding planner for one of the biggest weddings, Anabel and Jax’s.  Yet when everything fell apart and she saw her suppliers and friends left with all kinds of debts, Kara decided to approach the groom whom she had incidentally never met and pleaded with him to pay all the bills.  He came up with a plan to make Anabel jealous in order for the wedding to still take place.  He made Kara his fiancée.  The only problem was that sparks flew between them.  Could this pretend engagement become true?

This was a charming story.  Both characters were great.  Kara was a little bit of a spitfire.  She was never afraid to say what was on her mind and she did so a little impulsively at times.  Jax was a sweetheart and he made sure to give Kara all kinds of attention.  He’s the kind of leading man it would be easy to fall for.

I liked the premise of the story.  I would have liked to hear more from Jax’s point of view.  Most of the story was told from Kara’s perspective.  On the other hand, it kept me guessing as to why he was so intent on marrying Kara.

There were many subplot points that were neatly wrapped up at the end of the story.

I really enjoyed this book.  It made me smile a lot.  I highly recommend it.
