BLURB: OATHS SWORN . . . loyalties tested . . . forces collide.

Following the colossal battle against the Empire’s warriors on the Burning Plains, Eragon and his dragon, Saphira, have narrowly escaped with their lives. Still there is more at hand for the Rider and his dragon, as Eragon finds himself bound by a tangle of promises he may not be able to keep.

First is Eragon’s oath to his cousin Roran: to help rescue Roran’s beloved, Katrina, from King Galbatorix’s clutches. But Eragon owes his loyalty to others, too. The Varden are in desperate need of his talents and strength—as are the elves and dwarves. When unrest claims the rebels and danger strikes from every corner, Eragon must make choices— choices that take him across the Empire and beyond, choices that may lead to unimagined sacrifice.

Eragon is the greatest hope to rid the land of tyranny. Can this once-simple farm boy unite the rebel forces and defeat the king?

Review: This is the third book in the series and my most favorite of all. And once again the brother really comes alive in it. Totally couldn’t put this one down and am definitely looking forward to the last book of the series to be released.

I thought

this whole series was amazing and considering how young he was when he started writing it floors me. I read this one as soon as it came out and have been eagerly awaiting the last book. I sure hope he keeps writing after this series is done. I'd love to read more by him.

Me too

I read the first book after my oldest and thought I'd wait until they were all out to read the rest. I like to read series all at once. In any case my oldest has been getting the books as they came out and I have absolutely no idea why I thought they were all out but I picked up book #2 thinking they were and read on. I can't tell you how disappointing it was to discover book 4 isn't out yet!!!! LOL I so don't like to wait. :-)

I hope he keeps writing after this series too.
