Candle in the Window

Lady Saura of Roget was one of the loveliest ladies in England, but she is nineteen and her stepfather controls her very existence.  That all changes after she is summoned to the castle of William of Miraval to help him in his blindness, for she has been blind since birth.

This is an early historical romance for the author and a very well-written story.  Her characters are interesting and you have sympathy for them, too.
