Cast in Shadow

From Amazon:

Seven years ago Kaylin fled the crime-riddled streets of Nightshade,
knowing that something was after her. Children were being murdered -
and all had the same odd markings that mysteriously appeared on her own
skin....

Kaylin is ordered back into Nightshade with a partner she knows she
can't trust, a Dragon lord for a companion and a device to contain her
powers - powers that no other human has. Her task is simple - find the
killer, stop the murders...and survive the attentions of those who
claim to be her allies!

My opinion:

I loved this book. Sagara writes so well that I was able to picture the people and the places and the different races. I would like to read the rest of the series, but apparently the next two books are only out in trade.Yell And I will only buy MMPB. Such a dilemna.Frown

Sagara...

I really enjoy this series.  Don't you hate when they switch between MMPB and trade???? Yell

Yes.  And I won't buy

Yes.  And I won't buy trades new.  I will buy them used, but then the author gets no money. But on the other hand, the publisher doesn't get any money either, and it/he/she is the one that decides MMPB or trade.

re: Cast in Shadow

I have this one but haven't read it yet...I do enjoy Sagara's work, though (well, I've only read her as Michele West, but enjoyed her!).  I think I started this once when I was in a lousy mood, so it didn't take--will have to pull it back out because I bet I'll enjoy it if I read more than 10 pages!

Michele West

And I keep meaning to read her books under the West name!

Lady Am: Do try again.  I found it enthralling. I like SF/Fantasy.
