Description & Critique:

All the Dante brothers were working to find out who the mysterious new designer for Timeless Heirlooms was.  They went to Timeless Heirlooms’ launch of their new line.  Severo was on a mission, one that consisted of finding out who the designer was and then he saw her…  He was struck by her!  He was overwhelmed with the need to have her.  For the first time in his existence, he forgot all about duty and put his other needs first.  He completely forgot about his obsession with re-acquiring the company he’d had to sell off due to his father’s lack of business acumen.  Francesca had two reasons for working for Timeless Heirlooms one of which was her big debut as a jewellery designer.  She managed to blow it on her big night.  She disappeared during her showing.  Francesca had a very personal reason for wanting to remain at Timeless Heirlooms.  It was very important to her.  Francesca discovered that she’d escaped with the enemy, the head of Dantes, the company trying to buyout Timeless Heirlooms.

This book is the first of the mini-series called The Dante Legacy.  I was very surprised to find out it was the first book from Day Leclaire that I read.  I can say but one thing, I’m starting book 2 from this series tonight.  That says it all, doesn’t it?

I loved the pace.  The way they fought what was happening to them at least the non-physical part.  Their relationship developed over a little time.  Both characters seemed to be able to empathize with what the other one had gone through.  Although I’m not really one for jewellery, I loved reading about jewellery design.  I imagined her creating her pieces on a sketching pad.  I imagined what her pieces would look like.  I enjoyed this very much.

This series seems to play on the concept of one true love, of having a soul mate.  Both characters were very likeable and it was easy to see why they appealed to one another.

I HIGHLY recommend this book.

I've read this one (Severo's

I've read this one (Severo's story) and Dante's Stolen Wife (Marco's story).  Severo's was very good, almost a keeper imo!   Marco's was somewhat disappointing because Marco's character was not really fleshed out, he was almost entirely defined by his Inferno lust/love for the heroine, not much personality outside of that.

I just started it

I've only just read a few pages of the second book.  Hopefully I'll find it good.  I was pretty impressed with Book 1.

Dante Legacy

I thought she did an excelent job introducing us to the rest of the brothers
