Description & Critique:
Marco Dante knew it the second it happened to him. The second he saw Caitlyn Vaughn, he knew The Inferno had struck him. He had just met ‘his’ woman, his Inferno Bride. Suddenly, he was being sent out of town all the time and when he came back, Caitlyn was gone. It took him a while to understand that his twin, Lazzaro, was to blame for this. Caitlyn had been dating Lazzaro for six weeks and couldn’t understand where the initial spark she had felt had gone away to. And then, on the night of the Dante grandparents’s anniversary, it was back. A romantic night on the balcony and it was back to the way things were the first time they met. She had no idea that it wasn’t Lazzaro she met on that first day but his twin Marco just like she didn’t know that the man she was with on the balcony was Marco and not Lazz.
This book is the second of the mini-series called The Dante Legacy. I am going to be on pins and needles waiting for the rest of this mini-series to be published. I get to order the next one on June first. Yay!
This book was even more amazing than the first one. I was caught up in this romance from page 1 until I read the last page. Marco, who in book one seemed to be the charmer, the good time man, was struck by The Inferno and he never resisted it. Not for one moment. Not for one second. That’s one thing to admire about this leading man. He never hesitated for one second. Caitlyn was his soul mate and that was the end of the discussion to him.
Caitlyn was also a great leading lady. Even though she didn’t believe, she did open her logical mind to the things Marco was saying. She did listen and take a chance on him.
This romance solidified over time as the two discovered one another and the two got to know each other. There were no I love you’s until a little later which makes things a little solider in my mind.
I loved the sub-plot involving the snitch. It added a lot to the story. I had a little trouble liking Lazzaro, though. I’m looking forward to his story so I can learn to like him, so I can see inside his soul and his Inferno! Although, I really think we caught a glimpse of that in this book. I’ll be looking forward to seeing if my guess is right.
Once again, I rediscover how much I enjoy the Desire line. I think of all the lines, it’s one of my favourites. I’m actually considering renewing my subscription.
I HIGHLY recommend this book and this mini-series.

Oh, the Dantes
Wasn't this one great! I can hardly wait for the next installment. It will be great fun to see what happens to Lazz when the inferno hits him - such a pessimist

Lazz
Day always makes me wonder how a not so likeable character turns into a likeable H. She did it with Prince Brandt Von Folke in The Royal series. In book 1, The Forbidden Princess he was a not so likeable character but in the third book, The Royal Wedding Night he became likeable. In this book it was a toss up between Lazz and Marco. But I did like Marco's attitude about the infero exsisting.

Last installment...
Next is Nicolo's story. That would make Lazz last. Ugh! That means another few months until we know what happens to him.

It's not like I don't have plenty more books to read...
But you know how it is when you're in the middle of a series that really has you hooked... Well, the Dante's have done that for me... hooked right in. I usually snooze in the bus on the way to work but not this morning, I almost missed my bus stop I was so caught up in the story!
