Description & Critique:

Nicolò was the family problem solver.  That was how he knew Kiley O’Dell was conning him from the start.  He knew how to read faces hence the reason his brothers wouldn’t play poker with him.  When Kiley ran out of the hotel and ended up in front of a rushing cab, he knew he had time.  Time to figure out what the story with her and her claim to the Fire Diamond Mine was.  Luck was smiling on him because suddenly, Kiley developed a case of retrograde amnesia.  Nicolò played the biggest con of all, he pretended to be her husband.  Would Kiley recover her memory?  Was she entitled to half the Dante’s Fire Diamond Mine?  Could a con woman possibly be an Inferno bride?

This is the third book of The Dante Legacy mini-series.

The third book’s theme was similar to the second book’s.  There was pretence surrounding a wedding.  That is where the similarities ended.  With this book we saw amnesia.  We met real con artists.  It definitely had its share of diversity.

Nicolò was definitely a family man and a very loyal one.  He was always called upon to find creative solutions to problems.  He found a creative solution to his own problem:  Kiley.  Of course, we can all fault him for pretending to be Kiley’s husband but at the end of the day, he’s still a very likeable man.

I can’t say too much without giving away the good stuff in the book but suffice it to say I’ve never seen a leading lady quite like Kiley.  I’m glad someone had the gutts to write about such a lady and it certainly reminds us all that everyone deserves a second chance.

I highly recommend this book.  I am very much looking forward to reading Lazzaro’s story.  I wish I didn’t have to wait another month to get it.

liked difference

even though there was a marriage deception in the two books, I liked that they were very different in that the second one(book) there really was a wedding whereas this one(book) he only pretended to be her husband. I too am looking forward to Lazz's story. He seems to be the one that believes in The Inferno the least.

Lazz

And I think that'll make the story all the more interesting... He's so logical and fact oriented. I am really looking forward to this.

saying

I guess this is where that saying comes in "save the best for last"

You're right there...

Although, Marco'll be hard to beat....

In the mail

This one is currently winging its way through the postal system on its way to my tbr! I had already figured it would have to be the top of the pile, but now I can hardly wait to get my hands on it. This one really sounds different and entertaining. Tongue out Thanks for the great review!
