It simply must be said. I LOVE the Immortals After Dark series. I crave it. I'm literally counting the days til Cade's story (One more week!!!) and yes, I truly believe that Rydstrom is Nix's fated love. He really has it coming. Well, After Mike Rowe, anyway. (Can't blame Nixie for her good taste.)
So, Dark Needs. I was really curious how Cole was going to bring together a red eyed vampire assassin and a ghost. With the power of sheer desire. Think International romance complications, people in the same room. Plus, there's a hot, scarred, nekkid guy in a shower. I really almost stopped reading right there because if any of you know my stories...well, really, is there anything else worth reading?
But, alas, there was. This book was full of longing, humor, aching and French. Lots of French. And frenching, but truly...you would too, if you could get one of Cole's heroes. So, I'm temporarily satisfied. Til the next book, when we all might get Nixie's wish and see what happens if you lick Cade's horns!

I really enjoyed reading this book. It's racey, funny, and quite possibly the best thing Cole has ever written (and she's written a lot of really good stuff!). I preordered the ebooks and audiobooks version, and stayed up all night when it finally came out. I'm waiting for another book to tantalize me like this one did!
