Dark Room

Morgan Winters found her parents murdered 17 years ago on Christmas eve, she was 10 years old.  The murderer confessed and has been in jail for all this time until now.  New evidence puts the confessed murderer at another murder scene the same night at about the same time and that murder, had he been caught and put in prison would have gotten him killed there.  Morgan now knows that the murderer is still walking the streets and has been free all this time.  Her first thought is to find the murderer.  He hires a P.I., who was on the police at the time of the murders and who was the only one that the 10 year old Morgan could respond to that night.  Her foster family Congressman Arthur Stone and his wife Eylse, friends of her parents, have raised her along with their ten year old daughter since the murders.  The P.I.'s son is a photographer who is assigned to work with the congressman and he meets Morgan and he helps Morgan and his dad as they try to find a killer from cold case files.
