Taken captive by knight Ranulf, a golden giant of a man, Reina is chosen to partner the despised Lord Rothwell. But she will never accept such bondage, and instead offers herself to Ranulf, with a promise to make him a great lord...if he agrees to marry her.
I read this many years ago. It has held up pretty well with the years. Reina is a strong and feisty heroine. Ranulf is mostly gentle and manly enough to deal with her. I loved the scene where he goes to the village "practitioner of the oldest profession" for advice on how to please Reina. That was funny and sweet at the same time.
