SYNOPSIS: Another murder occurs connected to Magnolia College. This time it's a young reporter and his sister, Cassie Winters, wants justice. Her former professor, Jameson King, was close to Cassie's brother but he's fearful of the feelings he has for Cassie. Can they find the murderer? And will the attraction between them have a chance against the demons of Jameson's past?
MY THOUGHTS: Continuity series are always interesting, some books better than others. DON'T LOOK BACK was an okay entry in the series and gave us another clue towards the identify of the first dead body and the one the series first began with. We're starting to move towards a resolution of the series without too much dawdling along the way and that is always a good thing.
I struggled with the relationship between Jameson and Cassie, but not because of any fault of Margaret Daley. Rather, the romance between a college professor and his former student brought to mind a situation I remember from my college days (and no, not involving me!) and so it was my own issues and memories that kept interfering with the actual story.
