Edited from the back: On her way to a locum job, Dr. Lizzie Darling runs into her new boss. Unfortunately she's in her car at the time, leaving Dr. Harry McKay with a broken leg! Lizzie doesn't want to be a family doctor, or to get involved in the tiny community of Birrini. She doesn't want to get involved with Harry, either, no matter how attractive and likeable he is. But, as the only available doctor, she has to stay. Slowly but surely, Lizzie finds her heart going out to Birrini and its dangerously charming doctor . . .
I can't believe this has been in my tbr as long as it must have been b/c I love Marion Lennox's work and I would expect that I'd snap up any of her books when they came in the door. I'm embarrassed to admit that I've no idea when this one came in my door. I know that I didn't buy it in '04 b/c I didn't get behind in my HMR reading til '05 or '06. This is quintessential Marion. The community and supporting cast of characters are lovable, even the fiance(e)s (yes, two -- one each for the H and h). Humor, affection, sweetness. A feel-good community-based romance. (As I've said in other reviews, I like books with a feel for friends and community and this is one that gives that.) NFM

I read this one a couple of years ago and you're right, Penn - this is classic Lennox! Wonderful, warm story.
