EXPECTING A MIRACLE by Jackie Braun (HR #4018)
SYNOPSIS: The unexpected pregnancy should have been heralded as a miracle. After all, Lauren Seville had been told she'd never be able to have children. Her husband, Holden, only gives her two choices: abortion or ending the marriage. Lauren sees no choice but to leave and she settles in tranquil Gabriel's Crossing. But can she resist the emotional bond growing between her and her landlord, Gavin O'Donnell?
MY THOUGHTS: What a perfectly lovely romance! Jackie Braun writes a touching but oh so sweet story that tugs at the reader's heartstrings. The friendship and love that develops between Gavin and Lauren is exceptionally well done, particularly since she made it believable even with the divorce proceedings only commencing as these two charming characters have met.
The parenting issues addressed in EXPECTING A MIRACLE are thought provoking. Jackie Braun clearly demonstrates the love that both Lauren and Gavin develop for her unborn child. In fact, EXPECTING A MIRACLE is perhaps one of the best books I've ever read at showing how that bond grows and develops. Lauren's own life experiences play a vital role in how she feels about parenting and it was all I could do not to cheer wildly as she learns to stand up and fend both for herself and her unborn child. Excellent romance!

I loved this one. Great review capturing this book. Jackie Braun is one of about 4 HR writers for whom I have read multiple books and loved them all. I still have so man more to explore.

Jackie Braun...
This is the first book I've read by her but I intend to read more. I really enjoyed just how sweet this one was. I also remember some of our offlist comments on parenting and this book really reflected a lot on that.
