A Family for Christmas by Irene Brand, Dana Corbit (Love Inspired/ November 04)

Another anthology and new authors to try out.

The stories: The Gift for Family by Irene Brand - Evan Kessler asks Wendy Kenworth to marry him. She accepts. But both of them are unsure. Evan needs to return to the family farm and comes from a loving and Christian background. Wendy is a city girl, not sure of her faith and on not so friendly terms with her mother. It takes a lot of love and many prayers for them to overcome their doubts.

Child in a Manger by Dana Corbit - When social worker Allison Hensley finds an abandoned infant she and detective Brock Chandler work together in locating the mother. And even though Brock only rarely shows his tender side, Allison hopes to keep him and the baby.

The stories were good but I won't remember them for long. I'm not sure I liked Irene Brand's voice that much, but maybe it was the characters. They were very young and I found it hard to relate to them.
