Family Honor (A Sunny Randall Novel)

Private eye Sunny Randall is street-smart, sexy, and suddenly thrown into a Boston mob war where high-stakes politics and low-down killers conspire to make Sunny's first case her last . . . .

This is the first book in this series.  I, of course, made the mistake of starting this series at book 6 (I think).  So now I'm back-tracking.  In this story, Sunny is hired to find a 15 year old runaway.  I loved her methods of finding her (wait till you see how she handles the pimp the girl is with) and the fact that she does what she thinks is best, as opposed to what is expected.  In this case, she finds the girl but doesn't return her to the parents that hired her.  She didn't much care for the parents and has decided to find out why Millicent ran away - especially since her family has money.  So, of course the question is - does she return her?  Tune in and see!

I really enjoyed this book and will definitely want to read the rest.  Sunny has some great lines and isn't afraid of much.  She's has an ex-husband she still loves but has trouble living with (hence being divorced).  I want to know more about her family, which you get very little of in this story.  Her choice of friends is just as interesting.  Yep, call me hooked.  If you like a good mystery with some humor and a romantic relationship or two, this just might be a series for you!
