Favourite Scene: (Teflon Panty Club?? *chokes on a laugh*)
"Ah, I see, Dr. Sex," Selena said with an imitation Dr. Ruth accent. "You just sit there and listen to them spout off all the intimate details of their sexual encounters while you live like a lifetime member of the Teflon Panty Club."
Another Fav Scene:
Aphrodite looked over to Priapus. "Now, go kick his spoiled little ass."
"Mother!" Priapus whined.
My Review:
Great book! The hero is part Greek God, and he's been cursed to live inside a book only to be released for one-month periods when summoned to act as a love-slave. The heroine summons him as a joke, on a dare from her gypsy friend. Once she has the love-slave though, she doesn't want to "use" him. She wants to set him free from his horrible existence. I loved the characters here, they were very vivid. They had lived through pain and it was nice to see them find happiness. This book had me howling with laughter, there were some great funny moments, the author did a great job with the witty dialogue! There was tons of steam too. Wow, the scene where he dresses her after her shower is so tender and sexy at the same time. Because of a plot requirement, the hero/heroine couldn't have real true fully satisfying sex until the very end of the novel, so that was slightly disappointing. I would have loved to see them over-whelmed by passion and giving into it madly early on in the book.
My Rating: 4/5 stars. This was my first Kenyon book, and I'm looking forward to reading more!
