FINAL JUSTICE by Marta Perry (LIS #104)
SYNOPSIS: The person behind the murder at Magnolia College is getting desperate. Mason Grant has now been identified as the father of a child he never knew existed and he fears fatherhood. Can he do a better job than his own father, a man who never made anything Mason did seem worthwhile? Jennifer Pappas is an old friend who is more than willing to help. After all, she had a crush on Mason years ago when they were in college. She, too, has secrets though. Will the murderer exploit both of their secrets and destroy any hope they have?
MY THOUGHTS: Nice ending to the Reunion Revelations series. Marta Perry writes a smooth story and one that ties together all the loose ends. And Alexis, Mason's daughter, is a total heartbreaker.
I have decided one thing, however. I don't know that I'm all that wild about continuity series. I keep thinking I enjoy them since I enjoy other series books but for some reason my interest always starts to peter out towards the end. I've got so many continuity series that are half read sitting around here. Even this one was hard for me to convince myself to pick it up and read it. Not sure why as the book itself was pretty good. But I'm starting to think just on a personal note that continuity series may not be my thing. I'm going to start paying more attention to this to see if it's truly the case or just a mood I'm in! I did finish a spectacular book right before starting this one, so maybe that is the issue rather than continuity series themselves. Hmmmm....

I order lots of continuity
I order lots of continuity series and then I have breaks in my life that distract me. It drives me nuts. I love the idea of continuity series. I think I would like to read them all together. I just ordered one and am anxiously awaiting the first books. My TBR read now is so big that I will have to take breaks between them.
I think maybe what I would like to do is go on a reading vacation like in a cabin in the fall and have no work, computer, no telephone, etc. just to have no other obligations.

Continuity series...
I keep buying them but I'm starting to think they really aren't my thing. I like the idea of them though....

I know what you mean ....
I have this series in my TBR and had intended to start it as soon as the last one arrived but haven't yet for some reason ... I read the Secrets of Stoneley and enjoyed it .... great opportunity to read authors I hadn't yet ... and that's also why I picked up this one, to read new authors in a line that is not my norm
I'm in a bit of a reading slump ... and usually a series pulls me up as I don't have to think about which book to read next
I started an SSE series ... read the first book and enjoyed it but for some reason the other books aren't calling to me .... but I think that's me more than the series :(

Reading slump....
I think I'm in one as well, as I had a hard time choosing what to read next and nothing is really keeping my interest....and it's me, not the books. I finally have decided to pick out older books that I have for review and then Harlequins in series that I'm behind on and go from there.....

I'm reading and have enjoyed
I'm reading and have enjoyed a lot of books I have yet to blog but I think I may be hitting a slump. Other than the most immediate reads I have before me, a whole bookshelf of books just doesn't fill me with excitement.

Slump...
I'm having the same problem. I keep looking at books and thinking, nah, not in the mood for that... and so on. Not sure what I need to kick me out of this slump either!
