OK, so I’m a big Suzanne Brockmann fan, and there wasn’t even the slightest chance that I would hate her newest Troubleshooters book. And I didn’t.
The hero of this one, Vinh Murphy, appeared in a couple of previous books, and finally gets his own story. Since his wife’s death, he’s been struggling with grief, and when the man who was responsible for Murphy’s wife’s death is killed, Murphy is the main suspect. He joins forces with his best friend, Hannah, to figure what’s going on and why they’ve suddenly become targets.
I’ll be honest. I wasn’t crazy about the main romance, but with Suz, you always get a bunch of stories in one book. All my favourite characters were back—Izzy, Sophia, Decker, Dave, Tess, Nash. And there was finally a resolution to the Sophia/Decker/Dave triangle Brockmann set up many moons ago (at least I think it was resolved…you never know with her). Either way, I loved it. Definitely a must read if you’re a Suzanne Brockmann fan.
