Sexy firefighter Jason Halliday's past comes back to haunt him in the form of his one-month-old dd abandoned at his firehouse. Paramedic coworker Laura Green (plump and plain) -- whom he thinks of as "one of the guys" -- helps him with his transition to fatherhood. She moves into his house to help, and as he comes to love his dd, he also comes to realize what a shallow fellow he's been and that Laura just might be the woman he wants forever. His fear, though, is that she'll realize that she's way out of his league in every way that counts (which is NOT looks). Will he be able to find his HEA with her? Told pretty evenly from both POVs, a lovely read and a cute baby. NFM
