Getting Rid of Bradley by Jennifer Crusie (MIRA)
Getting Rid of Bradley was a fast-paced whodunnit/romance that I probably would enjoy more if I were a bit older. I couldn't really relate to the characters because I'm not in my thirties and it seemed like it was a constant reminder that they were an older couple and they needed to hurry up and get married. Being in my early (bordering on mid, OMG) twenties, I still feel like there's no real reason to rush.
Regardless, the jokes were good and I thought the characters were well written. Lucy faltered a bit in my eyes, simply because I like my female characters stronger than she ended up being. I think Crusie struggled with making Lucy an independent female because the story centers around her basically being held under house arrest. Not much chance for independence when you're housebound by an ornery cop!
