Ghost is the story of a ghost writer commissioned to complete the memoirs of a retired British PM (the likeness to a certain TB is unmistakable) after the first ghost writer is drowned. 

 Interesting -- lots of great details about ghost writing -- and Robert Harris  writes a good tale.  A bit slow and the twist wasn't exactly a stretch to guess, but and enjoyable read.
