Give Me Fever by Karen Anders
This is the first in the Blaze series "Red Letter Nights". This series is set in New Orleans and the Court de Chaud neighborhood of townhomes. Tally Addison and her twin sister Bree inherited a townhouse from their eccentric uncle. They remodeled it to make it two homes. Tally is determined to buy The Blue Note bar where she currently sings so she is searching for the treasure her ancestor pirate Gabriel Dampier has hidden somewhere. When her brother accidentally takes the treasure map that Gabriel's ghost has helped Tally to find and then goes missing Tally has to call on too sexy cajun P.I. Christien Castille. Christien has only been a P.I. for a short time since he left the NOPD, but he's bored. He takes Tally's case because he likes her and is very attracted to her so he wants to help her. He does this as a favor, but Tally isn't telling him everything. Tally is in regular contact with Gabriel's ghost, but who is the dark presence that she also sees and feels and why is this presence trying to hurt Christien?
This series is right up my alley. Pyschics and ghosts and buried pirate treasure!
What's not to love?!
"It is to the credit of human nature that, except where its selfishness is brought into play, it loves more readily than it hates."
