Serena Lightfoot had the thankless task of looking after her
father and the household. After his death she is left with only a small legacy and she moves into her brother’s house into another role of unpaid
domestic. Ivo van Doelen, orthopaedic surgeon and friend of her family doctor,
finds short term employment for her and when that job ends a home with himself
and his former nanny. Next step is a proposal for a
marriage of convenience.
