I liked this book and enjoyed the hero and the heroine. But I must admit, Stavros Denakis was just a little to alpha male for me! Sexy as sin, but very alpha. Loved the internal conflicts of the characters.

I think we picked up on the same thing with the hero... you say he was too "alpha" for you... to me the hero was stubborn and out to think the utter worst of the heroine, even though he kept being proven wrong! He still couldn't trust her or let himself admit he loved her. You would think a reader would dislike a stubborn hero like that, but you could just see the emotion swirling beneath his doubts and it was clear he was emotionally shattered by his unexpected feelings for the heroine. (So at least he wasn't completely cold)
I also thought it was nice that the hero's father sided with the heroine.
