The Greek Tycoon's Wife by Kim Lawrence (HP 2360)

Back Cover:

Nikos Lakis is the ultimate Greek Tycoon. He's cool, controlled, and definitely sexy - and he's also married to a woman he hasn't seen since their wedding day. Katerina may be his wife but she's never been his lover ... until their accidental reunion ignites an uncontrollable passion! Is it time for the billionaire to bed his bride?

Favourite Quote: (between hero & random chick)
'Are you asthmatic?' Nikos asked.
'No, just fat and unfit.'

My Review:

She paid the hero to enter into a paper marriage with her, so that she could get her inheritance.  They never saw each other again after the ceremony.  They meet again because they both are considering a divorce: and he turns out to be a college friend of her new fiance.  They taunt and torment and argue with each other, striking wonderful sparks off each other.

They end up in bed.  The hero realizes the next morning that he can't let her go back to her fiance.  He is devious!  He invites her fiance up to the hotel room, drops his towel, and gets back in bed with the heroine, deliberately contriving to have her fiance find them in bed together.  Got to admire him for making sure he got the heroine to end things with the fiance, that was a sneaky deliberate determined move.  It was a rat bastard move, but *sigh* alpha male!

When he finds out she's pregnant, he also shamelessly guilts her into committing to marriage to him, saying she'll be responsible for his father's death and their child being an outcast... tee hee!  It's adorable how fierce and possessive he is of this woman who is his wife.  The added surprise of him finding out that she's actually half Greek...  great job Kim Lawrence!  HP readers will love this one.

Rating: 5/5 stars, keeper!  Yum yum!

Hi Janet

I normally don't read presents, however you make this one sound really good.  I will add it to the list. Thanks for the review.

Spreading the love!  Happy

Spreading the love!  Happy to see more people reading the books I enjoy myself.

It's a charming read!

Huh!

I don't know where you are pulling some of these books out of, but I think I have read every Presents ever written.  (I'm a bit obsessive about them!  ;-}} )  But I don't remember this one at all.

Of course, it could still be in one of my TBR piles.

w-w-w

Maybe you read so many of

Maybe you read so many of 'em that you've forgotten a couple?  I know that I've re-read a few books because years have passed and I'd forgotten them and came across them again and thought it was for the first time!

There's 2700 odd books, so yeah even if you read at least 4 a month and think you're reading all the ones that sound "good" at the time, there's always more books to come out of the woodworks and find again!
