After breaking up with her finance, Martha Gabler, decides to visit the family cabin, which has been abandoned for two years, in an isolated area. When she arrives she realizes that she’s not alone in the cabin. She encounters a man who tells her he’s one of the good guys and just go along with the plan. Tristan Sinclair claims he's an ATF agent working undercover. And that if she doesn't play along as his unexpected girlfriend, they'll both end up dead. Still, she calls up all her faith and turns her shaky trust over to Tristan. Martha is an innocent in the middle of a gun raid, Tristan is shot trying to protect her. Once she is released after giving her statement, Tristan finds her and explains what happened and that her life is still in danger. Tristan believes that Gordon Johnson, who escaped from the police, will come back to get rid of State’s key witness, the only witness, Martha. Tristan, although wounded and on medical leave is not leaving Martha’s side.
Martha is trying hard not to notice Tristan, but unfortunately her heart and her body are – Tristan is the same. Soon Martha is hoping that Tristan will guard her for the rest of her life.
