I couldn't wait for this one to come out after reading the first two books in this series. I started it in print and then saw it was a download so got that too. I love all the different creatures in this series. The old races are at war because of Margrit. When Alban is taken prisoner and will not defend himself, Margrit finds herself as his negotiator.
There were some great scenes in this one, loved the fight between Grace and Margrit. I really like Grace O'Malley and like who she was with at the end of this book. A possibility, maybe? Very moving story but I know it's not finished yet. At the end of this book Ms. Murphy writes that the next installment of the Walker Papers will be coming in 2009. I'll sure be watching for it but I want more Gargoyles, Dragons, Selkies, and Vampires too.

Me, too. I just loved the stories about the Old Races and can't wait for the next installment. I want to know how they resolve the mess at the end of the last story.

I don't know when we'll get the next book in this series as her next book will be back in the Walker Papers. Of course I enjoy that series too. My daughter was really excited when I told her that more in the Walker series was coming out in 09. I like them both but there is just something magical about the ancient races. Glad you enjoy them too.

I am so far behind I still haven't bought the second one! Really enjoyed Heart of Stone, though, so I'm glad to see the books continue to be awesome. I liked the little bit of Grace we got in the first book, so I look forward to seeing more of her.

just gets more interesting. I'm hoping we'll learn her story.
