HEALING TIDES by Lois Richer [Harlequin 53]

Hope Chastain
Format: Print Books

When Dr. GloryAnn Cranbrook goes to a specialty children's clinic in the back country of Oahu, she can hardly believe the difference from the town in Inuit country where she grew up.  She's excited to learn Dr. Jared Steele's technique for skin grafting, so that she can take it back with her when she returns home.  Jared, however, not only is no longer doing the procedure, he refuses to discuss it, or the boy who died a few days after getting a graft.  Jared seems cold and uncaring, but is his demeanor the real man, or is he just avoiding thinking about his own broken heart?

Unfortunately, this book is no longer available on eharlequin.com, but it's worth finding! I really enjoyed it, even though I don't usually like medical stories. The characters were endearing, and the setting wonderful. It's like a Hawaiian vacation, without the cost! Enjoy!

Wonderful author!

Yes, I love Lois Richer's writing.  I've read several.  It's hard to pick a favorite.  I loved her Serenity Bay series (His Winter Rose; Apple Blossom Bride; Spring Flowers, Summer Love) for LI and her Finders, Inc. series (Secrets of the Rose, Silent Enemy, Identity Undercover) for LIS.  I also loved her reissued double volume of Baby on the Way and Wedding on the Way, plus the volumes she wrote as part of some continuity series.  I think you'll probably enjoy anything you pick up by her!  Have fun reading!
