Heated Rush by Leslie Kelly

Leslie Kelly is one of my "must-buy" authors!  Heated Rush was the perfect ending to the tale of mixed up bios for a bachelor auction.  Read Slow Hands first to get the main idea and how the mix-up happened.  I enjoyed the sexual tension between Annie and Sean, loved the time they spent at Annie's parents farm (how do you explain emu tracks across the hood of a rented Ferrari?Laughing)

Back cover:  You know you're hard up when you have to buy a date...

But Annie Davis's big family reunion is looming, and she needs a stand-in man fast or she'll never hear the end of it.  Any gorgeous guy will do.  Her solution?  The drop-dead-sexy man at the charity bachelor auction.  His good looks and blue-collar background make him perfect for her!  Or is he?

Sean Murphy has a bit of a surprise for Annie.  Not only is he not blue-collar, he;s actually a sophisticated European entrepreneur, one who's made pleasuring women an art form.  And he wants to permantly pleasure Annie!  But Sean knows that if she discovers his secret, their wickedly delicious liaison will be over.  Lucky for both of them, he's learned enough tricks to keep Annie distracted for a long, long time...

One note:  Annie's hair when Sean first meets her after the auction is short, and a few days later is described as being long.  I'd like the brand of her shampoo!

Excellence rating: **** - Very Good

Steaminess: Heat Wave

Lynn

I haven't read this

but I plan on it.

I started reading her stuff last year and added her to my auto-buy list.  I love her stuff.  Always fun, interesting, well-written and sexy.  All of the ingredients for a great book!

ARGH!

Hey Lynn--thanks so much for the great review, I'm so glad you liked it. But ARGH on the hair!

Long story short (and I actually blogged about this on Plotmonkeys a few months ago.) I wrote the book with Annie with very long blond hair. Then I got the cover. And panicked. We were at the "galleys" stage where I have a printout of the book and it's my last chance to make changes, and I had one day to do it. I raced through, thought I caught all the references to her hair and prayed I hadn't missed any.

Obviously I missed one. Big sigh.

Still--I'm glad you liked it!
