Malcom Braddock, eldest son and apparent heir (to follow in his footsteps) of late senator Harmon Braddock's finds it hard to stop thinking about his dad's executive assistant, Gloria Kingsley. Gloria while trying to get Malcolm to run for his father's office going head to head with him, and fighting her own feelings toward a budding relationship.

This book is the first installment of this new series and it is great from the first page to the last. There is love, drama, misunderstanding, mystery and murder.

Adrianne Byrd weaves together an intense yet powerful story of how love at first sight isn't always recognized until something drastic happens. For these two people who aren't looking for love to accept it. I really enjoyed the chemistry between Malcolm and Gloria. It's definately a page-turner. Can't wait until the next book is released.
