This is one in a series entitled The Wilder Family. It is about Neil Kane, and investigator for the State Dept that has been sent to the hospital to check out reports of misuse and abuse of hospitals services. A conglomerate is trying to take over the hospital and change it from a family run to a corporate run health care facilty. There is a mole in the hospital feeding the state false information to try and help the conglomerate get a better toe hold in the hospital. Neil meets one of the hospital social workers, Isobel Suarez and they find there is a sexual attraction there that neither of them want for their own persoanl reasons and professional reasons. It is a very captivating read and keeps you guessing about who the mole might be and how everything will work out in the end. A very well written story.
