I've always been a big fan of Liz, and this book is no exception. Everything moved along in a very compelling manner, and even though for a minute there I was afraid the subplot was going to take over, she reigned 'em in and kept everything moving along smoothly.
I gotta say, the weirdest thing (and this isn't a complaint or anything negative, just an observation) is that while her voice was classic Liz (bordering on Betty Neels at times), the plot points were remarkably chick lit. So that was surreal.

Olivia....
I blogged on this book, too! I agree that it's great. The voice is terrific and, now that you mention it, it does have a pinch of chick-lit in it. Have you read her A Surprise Christmas Proposal? It's written in first person and really has the chick-lit feel. It's upbeat and witty. If you haven't read it, you should.
It's not surprising to me that Liz is capable of different styles. I just started reading her books here recently, but I've found that she's a well-rounded author.

I'll have to read that one...
I think it's here in my TBR somewhere...
Now that I think about it...
I haven't even left a review for A Surprise Christmas Proposal! Guess I'd better do that sometime today, huh?
