The heroine is very likeable but Max really steals the show. Watch out for his buddy Alex. I want THAT book. This book really grabs you because you want to know how long he's going to not believe her. (Brace yourself, it's for a long time.) Granted, there's some serious Author Ex Machina, but the characters are fun, so really...who cares? Child delivers!
