Highland Wolf by Hannah Howell

James Drummond was once laird of Dunncraig now he's an outlaw accused of murdering his wife. Annora MacKay is the bastard cousin of the new laird. James comes into the keep disguised as a woodworker to clear his name and take his keep and daughter back. He falls in love with Annora who is his daughter's  nursemaid. Together they hope to clear his name.

This was excellent I didn't realize that Highland Wolf is an offshoot off Ms. Howells Murry books, until I got into the book. I'm not going to tell you how. You have to read the book.
