His Style of Seduction by Roxanne St. Claire
Silhouette Desire #1841 ~ December 2007
.
Reggie Wilding is in a tough spot. His wife is dying and he needs to sell his advertising agency to raise the funds for the treatment and to allow him to share every moment with her. The stuffy Anderson, Sturgeon and Noble, a globally successful firm, want to add a New York office. Wild Marketing suits them just fine except for one little problem, they want Jackson Locke, Wild’s current creative director to step up to the role of president. Reggie knows that Jack in his “unconventional, rebellious, creative bad-boy skin” will never conform to the stuffy British firm’s standards. That’s where Lily Harper comes in; she’s an executive image consultant with just the right tricks to transform Jack into the perfect corporate leader. Lily knows that if she succeeds with this job she’ll have an in with the British firm and a chance of a lifetime. Arriving at Reggie’s Nantucket second home where she’ll have Jack all to herself, she finds a man so confident in his “no walls – no shoes” attitude that she easily falls into his proposition that the days are hers and the nights are his.
When I purchased this book I had thought I was getting a peak into the direction the Desire line was going, only to discover that Ms. St. Claire has penned a delightfully witty romance reminiscent of her stories written for Temptation. What a treat! I adored both Lily and Jack, they are made for each other! Even knowing that he’ll have to sit behind a mahogany desk and push paper a contracted year, Jack agrees to the makeover and the job because he cares a great deal for Reggie’s wife Samantha. He has no choice, and no matter how it goes against his own dreams, he’ll do it. The chemistry with Lily is awesome and that’s what makes the whole transformation for Jack palatable. Lily, though carrying some pretty heavy baggage from her childhood, is a truly remarkable woman. In Jack’s words, she’s “bold, confident, aggressive” and he also knows that she suits him perfectly. Only Lily knows that while her dream is her own home and security, Jack’s dream is “no walls” and no roots. Their witty banter and scorching chemistry keep the pages turning. An awesome read that I couldn’t put down!

His Style of Seduction
I remember really liking this book. With them being so different, it made for a refreshing read. His "I don't need no stinkin fork" and "I don't need no stinkin shoes" had me laughing.
Have you read Sins of his Past published in January 2006? The H was Jack's best friend Deuce and the h was Jack's sister Kendra

Aw Christa, those quotes
Aw Christa, those quotes make him sound like a cute little four year old.... *grin*
Kat, I'm interested in this one now. I'd seen it at the library but wasn't pushed to pick it up because my TBR pile is already full of books I love and want to read... but I'll make sure I get to this one.
His Sinful Past
No Christa ... I haven't read that one ... and when I read Roxanne's Dear Reader letter and it mentioned that Jack had appeared in that one, I nearly didn't read this one .... but I really wanted to read this book now, and as the other is a few years old I thought nah, I'm not going to bother tracking it down .... even though now that I've finished reading this one and think the other would be really good, I think I'm still going to pass .... I just have toooooooooo many books unread! .... and the Members Only deal just added another 10 to my TBR!
...... May's turned out to be a slow reading month as I'm soooo busy at work .... so what I ordered today is more than I've read this month! oh no!
I really need to line up a few books to just grab to read in order ..... but with having so many books to chose from the choice is getting harder not easier ... sigh
Hi Janet .... I really think you'll like this one .... Jack is a determined sort of guy though he really is willing to sacrifice his own dreams for those he cares about ... get hero!
