Bk #59--My thoughts: This one is Fox and Layla's story. Good book--and just good; not spectacular. Personally, I liked the first one better. I think my big drawback with this book was the heroine. I felt it just took too long for her to get where she needed to be emotion wise. But that's just my opinion...
Synopsis: Ever since the night of their tenth birthday at the Pagan Stone, three young boys--Cal, Fox, and Gage--have battled evil every seven years for one week on the seventh day of the seventh month. And that fateful night left each boy with special abilities. They all share the ability to heal but Fox O'Dell also has the ability to read people's minds.
New comer Layla Darnell, drawn to Hawkins Hollow, shares Fox's ability to read minds. Only for her, it's a new ability and one she's skeptical to harness. As the team continues to search for answers and unlock long hidden secrets, it becomes apparent for the team to be successful beating the big evil, Layla will have to learn to trust her new abilities--and Fox completely.
But Layla's not the only one with trust issues...
