This Emmaline is a small, ethereal half Valkyrie/half vampire, who somehow begins to soothe the fury burning within him.

A vampire captured by her wildest fantasy...

Sheltered Emmaline Troy finally sets out to uncover the truth about her deceased parents--until a powerful Lykae claims her as his mate and forces her back to his ancestral Scottish castle. There, her fear of the Lykae--and their notorious dark desire--ebb as he begins a slow, wicked seduction to sate her own dark cravings.

An all consuming desire...

Yet when an ancient evil from her past resurfaces, will their desire deepen into a love that can bring a proud warrior to his knees and turn a gentle beauty into the fighter she was born to be...?

My thoughts - This was quite an enjoyable read.  I bought this book last year and have managed to put off reading it for a long time.  I am glad I finally pulled it from the shelf.

The storyline was very involved with a lot to take in when I started it.  I think I was overwhelmed and a little slow to finish it due to this.  And then in the middle seemed to lag just a tad.  All of the info I was given during this lag was pertinent to the story I just wish there had been a bit more action in there.  But the ending more than made up for my slight confusion and the lag in the center.  I finished this book with a nice feeling and I am looking forward to continuing with this series.

Hi Jill,

I read this one so long ago, i don't remember anything about it anymore, but that i did enjoy it and bought a couple others of hers to try, but just haven't made it to them yet. Smile I'll certainly have to re-read it before reading book#2.

I've done that before.  I can usually get by with a quick skim of the first before starting the next book.  I guess that's one of the consequences of reading as much as we do huh?
