If you love Susan Elizabeth Phillips, then Diana Holquist is an author you need to check out. This book was an absolute delight. It features a sexy chef and a delightfully sinister gypsy looking for a spirit voice that left her high and dry. It's witty, funny and sexy, and this book put Diana on my auto buy list.
It's apparently the third in a trilogy, though obviously, you don't need to read them in order. Which is another wonderful thing. I hate--HATE--books in series that make me feel as though I've missed some inside joke by not reading them in order. This book isn't like that at all. Much like SEP and her Chicago Stars series, this book stands extremely well on it's own.
I'm looking forward to reading a lot more by this author.

Sounds like I will have to check out this author! Like I need more books!!! I have a SEP book I recently received that I haven't read yet. So many authors, so many books, so few $$$$!!
I just finished posting the most recent Nora Roberts books I've read. I could hardly put it down.

Diana is my critique partner and very good friend. (We started writing romance together during our playgroup days when our kids were tiny.) She'll be thrilled by the Susan Elizabeth Phillips connection--SEP is one of our heroes!
I loved this book too. My favorite Holquist masterpiece is still under her bed and she swears she'll never sell it, but I have hopes! The first two in the Burns Sisters trilogy are wonderful as well.

Ellen, I plan to read them both! I'm soo, so picky about my romantic comedy. Usually, they leave me flat. But Diana's was absolutely wonderful! She has a sense of humor made for writing. I'm looking forward to lots more from her! (Including the one under the bed!)
