I'll Be Watching You by Tracy Montoya (Intrigue) 04/08

From the back: It might have been four years since Detective Daniel Cardenas had last seen Addy Torres, but she'd never been far from his thoughts. . . or his fantasies. Then, as a vicious stalker's latest target, the stunning recluse needed the relentless protection only Daniel could provide. But the more Addy turned to his strong arms seeking safety, the more he wanted to ease her pain and heve her the release they'd both craved for far too long. As he watched and waited for a killer to make his next move, Daniel fought every urge and kept his hands to himself. Until one fateful night changed everything.

I really enjoyed this book. The suspense in the beginning had me glued to the book. It can be read as a stand alone but it is connected to the first book I ever read by this author, Maximum Security. It was excellent and so was this one. Daniel's partner was Addy's fiance, James, when he was killed in the line of duty. Daniel has always felt some responsibility for that and guilt for his attraction to Addy. And now Addy is being stalked and receiving threatening messages and new victims. It looks like the work of The Surgeon, the killer who caused James death and Daniel is determined that nothing will harm Addy. As they spend time together, it is hard for both of them to deny the feeling they have for each other. It is always fun to read about places that I am familiar with so I liked that TM revisited the Monterey, California area. I would really like to read Liz Borkowski's story.

Liz B.

Hi, Margie! I did a search for myself--how dorky is that?--and found your post. Thanks so much for your nice review! I'm glad you liked the book. I just wanted to let you know that I will probably never write Liz Borkowski's story, because she's named after a good friend of mine (the name just seemed perfect for some reason), and I can't imagine writing about the real Liz B's love life! But others have said they liked her, so I'm thinking one of my next heroines will be inspired by her--just with a different name.... Thank you again for picking up IBWY. : )

I'll Be Watching You, out April 2008 from Harlequin Intrigue!

Hi Tracy

I don't know if you'll see this but, thanks for checking out my blog.

That is too bad about Liz B's story but, LOL, that would be uncomfortable to write a friends love scenes. I thought she would be a good heroine because of all she went through. I will looking out for your next book.

Take care,
Margie :)
