This book was an interesting read. The majority of the book consisted of domestic violence and one person's crusade to rid the world of 'evil' in the world. The side line of the story involved the breaking down of the H/h marriage and the slow rebuild of it.
I enjoyed this book as the vulnerabilities of the H/h was shown and that they have flaws like every other human and didn't magically recover from their experiences and problems.
The story began with the first murder and the killer's thoughts after he committed the murder. The killer sends a twisted gift to Lindsay after the killing. It arrives in a bouquet of flowers. When Lindsay's estranged husband, Detective Zack Kier, is assigned to the case, Lindsay's past comes back to haunt her with a vengeance. Only Zack knows the dark secret she lives with-or so she thinks. Now nothing can prepare her for the nightmare to come...
Everything Lindsay's stalker does, every life he takes is for her. But when Lindsay spurns his gift, she and those she loves most become targets of a depraved madman whose rage is growing and who is waiting watching, closer than she ever feared.....
After reading the whole book I don't agree with the last paragraph I have just written as the killer doesn't target Lindsay's love ones. He just gets rid of the people who hurt Lindsay, not anyone she loves. There is a another murderer that is revealed during the reading of the book and who becomes the major part of the climax in the story.
Lindsay and Zack didn't discuss their marriage problems in very much detail. The informaton was just skimmed over and no real discussion had taken place. More could have been done with regard to the marriage in the story but overall I would say that this was a very interesting story and I read it in one sitting. I couldn't put it down. I wanted to know who was the person 'looking after' Lindsay and killing all those people. Enjoyable read!!!
